Get cast in “This is Us”
NBC’s award winning TV show “This Is Us” is holding a talent search for a young actress to join season 2 of the show. Online video auditions are happening now and casting directors for This Is Us are searching for an African American actress ages 10 to 14 to fill the major, recurring new role of Lisa. Casting directors are accepting video auditions this week with a deadline of Friday the 21st so those interested need to rush it.
The show airs on NBC and the first episode premiered on September 20, 2016. The series is written by Dan Fogelman, Kay Oyegun, Donald Todd, and Aurin Squire. Dan Fogelman, Donald Todd, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, Ken Olin, Charlie Gogolak and Jess Rosenthal executive produce the NBC show with 20th Century Fox Television producing.
Jack and his wife – who is very pregnant with triplets — have just moved into their new home in Pittsburgh. Successful and handsome television actor Kevin is growing increasingly bored with his bachelor lifestyle. Randall — who was abandoned at a fire station by his father as an infant — is a stylish New York-based businessman working to raise two daughters with his wife, Beth. These people are among a group, several of whom share a birthday, of seemingly random individuals whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways.

Female, 10-14, African American, very open to a variety of types (ex: overweight). Hardened and wise beyond the capacity of most adults, Lisa is a bright, tough, introverted foster kid. She is a Newark, New Jersey native who has spent most of her young life in the inner city, bouncing around several foster homes. Deep down she is a sensitive soul, yearning for lasting human connections she can believe in. However, years in the system have left her with serious trust issues and emotional trauma from neglect. MAJOR RECURRING ROLE.
