New Casting Call on Vampire Diaries Season 8 in the ATL

Vampire Diaries Cast Call

The 8th season of CW’s supernatural themed series is filming in Atlanta and there is a casting out for extras.

The long running show is rumored to be in it’s final season and will consist of 16 episodes. The show premiered this past fall and is still filming those last 16 episodes in the Atlanta area. For fans of the show who live in the Atlanta area there is still a chance to be cast as an extra on the show. The newest casting notice is looking for locals to a few background roles in scenes that will be filming later this week.

The series films in the Decatur, GA area and the show’s casting directors are only considering talent that lives in or near the Atlanta area.

The show is based on New York times best selling writer, L. J. Smith books also called “Vampire Diaries.“ “Vampire Diaries” airs on the CW Network and is set in the fictional town of Mystic Falls…. a place where Vampires, werewolves and witches also roam the streets. The show is based on the book series also called “Vampire Diaries” by L. J. Smith. ”Vampire Diaries” was developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec for the CW Network. CW also has a spin-off series called “The Originals“, which also films in the Atlanta area. CW has pushed the new season premiere of ‘The Originals” back a few months and it is not part of CW’s fall lineup.

A 20 minute, student produced short film is in need of actors to play as main characters. We are looking for three males, two in their early twenties (Connor and Jason) and the other in his late twenties (Rick). We are also looking for two females, one in her early twenties (Marina) and one in her thirties or forties (Ms. Vinehaus [Veen-Hauss]). Two male side characters of Asian descent are also needed to play father and son, one in his twenties and the other in his forties or fifties. Extras between the ages of 20 and 30 will also be needed.

Filming dates will be between February and April, ideal actors should be available on weekends and maybe some weekdays. This is unpaid, but we will provide meals and credit. The film will be finished in May and friends and family are welcomed to the showing.
