Got an adorable pet? A doggie modeling contest is on.
Calling all pets and their owners on the East coast. Pet Valu is having dog modeling and pet model casting call for adorable animals to be featured in the Pet-Valu yearly calendar.
Pet owners from Rhode Island to Kentucky are able to submit their favorite pics of their pets for a chance to land a starring pet role in their annual calendar shoot. The online casting call is on now and has a deadline of June 30th 2017. The modeling contest is open to pet owners in Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and West Virginia.
Pet Valu is running the contest of their FB page and pet owners may see the casting call flyer below for the details on how to get their dogs (or other pets) cast in the photo shoot. This is not a paying gig for your pet. All proceeds from the calendar sales are going to a charity that is fighting animal cruelty.
Vice president and U.S. general manager for Pet Valu, Joe Dent, stated that “The pet casting call is one of our favorite times of year because we get to see thousands of faces from our nationwide family,” said “While only 13 pets will be selected as stars in the 2018 calendar, every animal’s a winner, with the proceeds going toward fighting animal cruelty.”
According to WPXI news, winning pictures will be unveiled later this year in the 2018 calendar, which will be in Pet Valu stores this November. When the calendars debut, each winner is celebrated as a pet celebrity at their local Pet Valu store with a special Pawtograph Party, at which the pet signs calendars for customers.
