Seeking experienced choral singers to join us for our exciting 46th season with works for chorus and orchestra, led by Artistic Director Christine Noel.
For more than 45 years, the Providence Singers has been an auditioned chorus of dedicated singers, people who simply love choral singing. We find that choral satisfactions come from singing challenging, interesting music — and singing it well.
Our seasons typically offer a wide range of music, from compositions we have just commissioned to established works from the choral canon. For most of the last decade, our seasons have included guest appearances with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, both for an annual Messiah and for one of the Philharmonic’s classical subscription concerts.
Rehearsals are held at the RI Philharmonic Music School on Tuesday evenings beginning in September.
Full season repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah with the RI Philharmonic; Purcell’s “Come Ye Sons of Art” and other Baroque works; Evocative works inspired by nature; Opera choruses.
