Butterfly

New adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s “The Butterfly”. The play is scripted but movement based. Performers with a background in physical theater are encouraged to audition. Some of the work will be devised and some choreographed so even if you are new to physical theater but can move well we encourage you to audition.
Looking for Actors who can move and/or Dancers who can act. Everyone should be able to carry a tune.
Audition Dates: SUNDAY September 16, 2018 6p-10p and TUESDAY September 18, 2018 6p-10p
Audition Location: Windmill Arts Center, 2823 Church Street, East Point GA 30344
Performances TBD but tentatively scheduled for Jan 2019 and August 2019
Preparation:
The audition has three distinct pieces:
1) A movement audition that will consist of some improve as well as few choreographed steps
2) 16 bars from a song of your choice. No belting just something pleasant to hear.
3) A short reading from a script which will be sent to you once you sign up for a date and time.
Please bring headshot and resume if available. Please come dressed appropriately to move. Each audition will last about 15-20 minutes.
