“There’s No Camera There” – Casting Lead Female
Location: Boston, MA
Type: Student Films
There’s No Camera There will be a short narrative following a woman growing progressively more and more paranoid with the idea that a camera is following her every move.
The short is to be an end-of-semester, student final initially, then on to ride the festival circuit to gain further exposure and support.
The role we’re casting is Jenna: A young lady going through a break of paranoia and insanity. This role will require a lot of emotion and the showing of instability overtime. She will serve as the lead in the short, with lots of lines expressing her breakdown and overall self-doubt.
The film will ideally be shot entirely over about 10 short days.
The film will be directed/produced by Chris K. Daniels, winner of the New Artists Best Film Award, as well as the Silver Tripod and Jury Awards at Campus MovieFest 2017. Also part of the official selections for the Cannes Film Festival 2018.
Our budget is not huge for this, so pay will be minimal, but the exposure will be great. Chris’ last short went on to get 3.1 million views on Vimeo, as well as a wide festival presence.
