Casting all Roles for “The Ride,” a Drama Desk-nominated experience that is part tour/part show!

Synopsis:

The Ride takes place on a stadium seated bus (like an indoor theatre) and takes an audience to tourist attractions around midtown NYC (Times Square, Grand Central, Chrysler, Empire, Bryant Park, Radio City, Columbus Circle, Central Park, etc.) while interacting with people along the way. Pay is hourly.

Roles:

Female and Male Hosts – must be comfortable entertaining a crowd, able to memorize facts/material, and have positive energy even in stressful situations. Experience in improv or comedy is a huge plus.

Female and Male Ballet Dancers (that also tap) – must be technically advanced en pointe and very experienced with partnering, tap/ musical theater skills are a plus. All performances are outside.

Female and Male Hip Hop Dancers – Must be comfortable breakdancing outside, take direction well, be very personable, positive and charismatic while dancing.

Female and Male Improv Rappers – looking for someone who is comfortable performing an improvised rap. Content must be positive and family friendly. Must also be able to memorize some content, take direction well and experience in improv or comedy is a huge plus. All performances are outside.

Female and Male Belters – Looking for singers who are comfortable performing outside, able to memorize material quickly, take direction well, are positive and charismatic.

Female and Male Sax Players – Looking for alto sax players who are comfortable playing outside, able to improvise and perform dialogue, take direction well, positive attitude, able to adjust a key of a song quickly, learn material quickly, able to play a song by ear as well and read music a huge plus.

Female and Male NEW ACTS – If you feel you would be great for The Ride we are open to adding something new. The performance must be family friendly, under two minutes and be able to be performed outside. Performer should be able to take direction well.
