In this You Connection twist of Dickens’ classic tale, meet Emily Screw, a selfish, spoiled, mean-spirited child who finally gets the tables turned one unforgettable Christmas Eve when her toys come to life and reveal to her the ghastly consequences of her actions, in the hopes that Emily will discover the true meaning of Christmas. This funny, sweet, and sprightly holiday tale is a merry musical with a poignant message of redemption through the eyes of a child.

We are casting for Lord Screw, the well-meaning but befuddled father of the titular character, Emily. Though well-intentioned, Lord and Lady Screw have overemphasized Emily’s importance as their only heiress to their vast estate (and that she is a “miracle child,” since it was always said the Screws could never have children). As a result, Emily is now a spoiled, mean-spirited young girl (a child version of Ebenezer Scrooge). Lord and Lady Screw are supporting characters in Acts I & II and share a humorous character song about the realities of parenting.

Rehearsals run from Dec 7-17 (weekends and some evenings)
