Film Description:
Edith Jones (50) goes to her alma mater for a teaching position in the school’s dance department. When she arrives at the school, she is told that her interview has to be pushed back to a later date. Edith is relieved by the news because she struggles with the idea of being able to teach due to her past injury. Throughout the film Edith tires to reconnect with her younger self through dance.

Description: Edith Jones is an 50 year old African American woman dancer. In the film Edith is brought back to her alma mater for an interview to become one of the school’s dance teachers. She struggles with the thought of being a professor due to her past injury. During the film she reconnects with her younger self hoping to overcome the fear she has.
2. (Younger) Edith Jones

Description: (Younger) Edith Jones is 20 years old African American woman dancer. When she dances her movements are carefree, as if there is nothing holding her back. Her body isn’t confined by gravity. She defies it.

Description: The secretary is a small speaking role. They interact with Edith when she comes into the dance department.
