MONDAY * SEPTEMBER 10th, 6:30pm * TRUSTUS MAIN STAGE TUESDAY * SEPTEMBER 11th, 6:30pm * TRUSTUS MAIN STAGE
WHAT TO PREPARE: These open-call auditions will happen in 2 sections. If you are auditioning for Heathers The Musical or The Great Gatsby (a play with music) – you must prepare a piece for both parts of the auditions. Non-singers may participate in monologue section only.
MUSICAL AUDITIONS (6:30-7:30pm on both nights): Prepare 16 bars of a tune that offers a strong example your ability to act the song, style, and range. Please bring sheet music in the correct key for the piano accompanist. [Note: All those who audition for musicals must prepare a 1-minute monologue as well]
MONOLOGUE AUDITIONS (7:30pm on both nights): prepare a 1-minute monologue that shows off your strengths [Note: Not a singer? That’s ok, only show up for this part of the audition] WHO
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Actors ages 18+ who are passionate, hard-working, collaborative, imaginative, and who will come to projects with a clear schedule.

REHEARSALS: Rehearsals for musicals usually begin 5-6 weeks before opening. Rehearsals for non-musicals usually begin 4-5 weeks before opening. These timelines are subject to change due to holidays and other scheduling issues.
PAYMENT: Trustus Theatre is a small professional theatre focusing on contemporary work. Compensation for actors is generally under $200 for the entire process. Equity and other union contracts are handled by management if necessary.
