Open Casting call for Romeo & Juliet

The Florida Shakespeare Theater (formerly Shakespeare Miami) is a professional, non-union theater company. All roles are open. Actors must have a familiarity with Shakespeare and/or Classical theater. The Florida Shakespeare Theater practices color blind casting, and encourages women to audition for male roles marked with an asterisk.
Auditions are by appointment only. No walk ins will be permitted.
In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, a long simmering feud between two noble families disrupts the city of Verona and brings about a tragic ending for young lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force the young star-crossed lovers to choose between family loyalties and love. Romeo and Juliet, one of the Bard’s most popular romantic tragedies, has been in almost continual production across the globe since it was written.
