Casting the short film “Woman,” about a group of young individuals whose lives are tied through a sequence of events. Synopsis: A man finds guidance in his wandering life, and a woman gets the confidence to make a life-altering decision, risking her life in the process. Another man & woman live their best lives, leading and paving the way for their predecessors. Women and men come to a head in this dramatic coming-of-age film.
Characters needed:
Woman: 24. She grows before our very eyes. She is beautiful, natural hair, full of light, and good at the core. This woman sees the good in things others interpret as dark; she has a deep love for her city and wants to do great by it and herself. She is transitioning out of a bad situation and is venturing into a new part of her life when we meet her. Her childhood was good but not great, she was raised by a single mother, and uses that as inspiration for her resurgence of independence and determination. She is very down to earth, and creative, it comes across in her actions when she is along, her clothing, and interactions. Women with tattoos and/or any other natural hairstyle highly encouraged to apply.
Child:
Around 6-10. Needed for three scenes; will showcase the child’s acting; must be able to emanate emotion and have natural hair and great smile.
