What Ought to Be

Location: Carbondale, IL

Type: Student Films

This is a short science fiction student film, and I’m currently looking for actors and a film crew, especially a choreographer, lighting technician recordists, makeup artists, and cameraman.

The film is called What Ought to Be, and centers around a college student who receives a gift from his late grandfather. Said gift leads to the discovery of a huge family secret.

I’m casting actors for the following roles:

African American Male (18-19 years of age)
African American Female (late 30’s-early 40’s)
Male (Any ethnicity, 40’s-50’s years of age)
African American Male (60-65 years of age)
African American Male (8-9 years of age)
Male (Any ethnicity, early 20’s)

This is a nonpaying job, but crew members and actors will be compensated with food/meals, film credit and a copy of the short film.
