Dial Down the Feminism
Location: Dallas, Texas
Type: Student Films
Working Title: “Dial Down the Feminism”
“Dial Down the Feminism” is a quirky horror short anthology film. A young woman goes with her boyfriend to a Halloween get together at his friend’s house. The boys continually show their misogynistic nature as they tell various stories about how women are crazy. She brings the party to a permanent end when she tells a nonfiction story about a female vampire that is tired of the misogyny in the world and has decided to kill her boyfriend and his friends at their Halloween party. The film is separated into three distinct parts the date, the crazy daughter, and the main story.
THE MAIN STORY – A group of friends are telling spooky stories about crazy females at their Halloween get together.
THE DATE – A woman is going on a date. After a seemingly good night, her date drugs her and she hallucinates and kills him.
THE CRAZY DAUGHTER – A young girl is seemingly being chased by a mad killer, that turns out to be her mom trying to commit her to a mental institution.
