All roles will be played by children ages 8-18.
Director Laura A. Rizzo is expecting to cast about 30 people. Children, ages 6-18, may audition 12:00 PM-2:00 PM.
The iconic roles to be cast include Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, Cowardly Lion, as well as Glinda, the Wicked Witch of the West, and the Wizard of Oz. The ensemble will include all characters in Munchkinland. There are non-singing lead roles also available.
Rizzo and her artistic staff of music director, Hal Keshner, and Stage Manager Melissa Gabilanes, will run rehearsals Monday- Friday 9am-3pm August 6th -17th. The performance date is Sat. August 18th at 3:00pm and is open to the public.
This is a tuition based summer theatre workshop the fee is $375 for the 2 weeks program. All performances of this family-friendly show will take place at the Newton Theatre.
