Christine UT Directing Project Casting Call

UT Film Student Sandra Berrones is casting for an adaptation of a scene from the award nominated indie film, Christine.
The scene involves a mother and a daughter trying to communicate with each other despite not being able to understand either side of their struggles. This is a great exercise for scenes with emotional drama and good experience for those wanting to build their reel.
Auditions will be held on Monday, September 24 at the University of Texas, Communication building B, Room 4.122 (CMB 4.122) from 6-9 pm.
Rehearsals are TBA and shooting will take place Sunday, September 30 (If actor’s schedules conflict there is a possibility that it will be moved to Monday, October 1)

Compensation: Copy of final edited product will be provided for demo reel purposes. Food and drinks will also be provided during shoot.

a lonely woman who struggles to socially connect to the world around her. She lives with her mother and she struggles to find her space and move up in both her workplace and her love life. She is kind, however is prone to extremes, often pushing away the people around her.
Peg
40-55; Any ethnicity
Christine’s mother. Vastly different from her daughter, she is free-spirited and trying to form a life after moving with her daughter. She tends to be less focused than Christine, and doesn’t understand why her daughter acts how she does. However, she still tries to keep a relationship with her despite their differences.
