Arya is an adaptation of Reenita Malhotra Hora’s second children’s novel, ‘When Arya Fell Through The Fault’, originally published by Om Books in 2015.
A fantasy adventure and coming of age tale themed around the Ramayana.
CHARACTERS:
CHIMPU/PANDU (Male 18-40): Chimpu and Pandu are “Vanaras”, mythological monkey beings in a fantasy world. Chimpu is our hero Arya’s right hand man. Pandu joins them on the journey. Both “vanaras” are energetic and loyal.
RISHIJI (Male 35-70): Rishiji is a wise old hermit and mentor to the hero.
BUDDHA (Male 18-60): Buddha [not THE Buddha] is an older “vanara”, a mythological monkey being in a fantasy world. He is a leader of the tribe, suspicious and standoffish.
SHE-VANARA (Female 20-50): A female “vanara”, a mythological monkey person in a fantasy world. She is protective, compassionate, and authoritative.
