Casting for a film project I will complete this semester at Brandeis University. No experience in film or theatre acting is necessary, just be willing to try your best and put yourself out there! The film follows a teenager finishing up their high school career, going through some health challenges, and gaining the diagnosis of an invisible condition.
Looking For:
Mother (Aged 40-50) – Female, race/ethnicity unspecified but same as daughter. A family practice doctor and single mother. Sees herself in daughter so understands her teenage need to be understood, but fails to appreciate the extra pain of her condition. Appears in 2 scenes, both with significant dialogue.
Extras, non-speaking – Including Other doctor, College friends, Coworkers.
Auditions will be through video submission to the email provided, due by March 6th. Please perform a 1-2 minute monologue of your choice, no need to memorize, and I can provide one if needed. It doesn’t need to be fancy, just record on a phone or webcam and try to show full-body movements if possible. Include in the email your name, age, best way to reach you, general availability for the next 2 months, and anything else you would like me to know.
