Historical Perspectives for Children is conducting its 2019-20 season auditions for African-American and Caucasian actresses, ages 22-35, for the roles of Harriet Tubman and Amelia Earhart in the productions, “Harriet Tubman: Conductor of the Underground Railroad” and “Amelia Earhart: Pioneer in Aviation.”
These characters are presented as strong role models for students in elementary and junior high schools throughout the greater Chicago area. This is part-time, flexible, daytime work with good rehearsal, performance and travel pay. Actors must have a car, be physically fit and enjoy children.
