Disney is hosting open auditions for singers – “Finding Nemo.“
The auditions are the in-park performance of the live stage show. Auditions are being held at Pearl Studios in New York and those cast for the show will be performing at Disney Orlando.
Finding Nemo, the Musical, is an original musical production based on the Disney / Pixar hit animated feature film, “Finding Nemo“. The show will be performed at the Disney Worlds Orlando location and the company is seeking singers for the lead roles as well as ensemble roles. Musical theater performers interested in the roles are welcome to come to the open casting call in New York’s Pearl Studios. The show will be performed live on stage at the Disney World resort in Orlando Florida.
“Finding Nemo” is an underwater adventure about a clown fish named Marlin who sets out to find his son Nemo. Nemo, in an attempt to prove himself swims too close to the surface and gets caught by a diver. Marlin along with the forgetful Dory set out in a search of Nemo who ends up in a fish tank in a dentist’s office. Along the way they encounter a host of ocean dangers including sharks and jellyfish.

Upon signing of Walt Disney World® Individual Employment Contract, candidates are eligible to immediately apply for membership in Actor’s Equity Association.
All performers employed by the Walt Disney World® Resort are covered under the terms and conditions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Actors’ Equity Association.
Current WDW College and International Program Cast Members are not eligible to audition unless you are 6 weeks out from you current program end date.

Potential relocation assistance may be available to qualified performers hired into specific roles.

Seeking the following roles:
Dory – Female. Mid – 20s. A forgetful, yet very optimistic lady fish and Marlin’s companion during this journey. Extremely quirky and an expert with comedic material. Character singer, comfortable flying at heights. Must weigh less than 225 lbs.
Nemo – Female. Early 20s. Plays youthful boy. Adorable, endlessly curious, spirited, childlike and fearless, yet at the same time naïve and vulnerable. Bright and youthful mix or belt.
Additional ensemble roles, not identified above, will be cast from this open call.

Applicants must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States.
Please prepare the best 16 bars of a musical selection and provide clearly marked sheet music, in the correct key, for the accompanist. Prerecorded accompaniment or a cappella auditions are not allowed.
Callback appointments are held on November 14, 2019.
Please note: Actors appear as themselves while at the same time manipulating a puppet of their specific character.
Candidates attending the November 11 audition do not need to attend the November 12 audition.
