Lead Characters:
SHRUTI (15)
Shruti is quiet, brave and determined. She resents the duties and expectations piled on her and can’t wait to leave home.
SHOBHA (early-mid 40s)
Shruti’s mother. She is strong, perceptive and hard working. She knows and abides by social
mores. She has a temper.
Supporting Characters:
ARNAB (early-mid 40s)
Shruti’s father and confidant. He is responsible, a little goofy and tries to avoid conflict.
ANIRUDH (mid-late 40s)
Shruti’s paternal uncle. He is kind and charismatic, and also nosy, holier-than-thou and
opportunistic.
MATAJI (late 60s-early 70s)
Shruti’s paternal grandmother. She is fond of Shruti. She seems meek, but wields power in her own way.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2019 at 12pm-4pm, by appointment only.
Production will take place during March 5th-9th 2020.
