ACTOR & SINGERS NEEDED FOR A NEW STAGE PRODUCTION

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Type: Theater

Are you an experienced actor currently out of work but would still like to hone your skills? Or, are you a beginning actor who would like to develop your skills by performing LIVE onstage in front of an audience? If so, we invite you to join SC Productions’ Peace Time Players.

The Peace Time Players teach children the necessary knowledge and skills to prevent bullying, violence and suicide through the performing arts. We are currently casting for our production of “Stop. Think. and Go.”

Stop. Think. and Go is a classroom, assembly, or after school production for children in grades K – 6. Through short plays, singing, music, dancing and games, our award winning program teaches young audiences “courageous alternative to violence” techniques and how to de-escalate and avoid potentially violent confrontations. Our production also introduces children to the exciting world of LIVE theatre right there in their own school or community based organization. Stop.Think. and Go has been performed in front of live audiences since 2005 in NJ and NY and now we are bringing our exciting and empowering production to children in LA and the surrounding areas.

We need actors who are, or look to be, ages 16 to 26. We also need singers. This is an unpaid gig for the first 4 performances so that we can videotape our best performance to pitch to producers as we did back on the east coast. Thereafter, actors will be paid per show. You work can as your schedule permits. We will also need a production team to assist at all gigs.

If you are looking for a fun way to teach children violence prevention techniques and to further develop your acting skills, send us your headshot and resume…and may peace be always with you.
