The HBO, show, Lovecraft Country, is now filming in Atlanta.
Lovecraft Country is in production in the Atlanta area and there is a casting call out for paid background actors / extras. The show is looking for area locals to fit quite a few specific roles. See below for the casting call and extras role details.
The series is being produced by Monkeypaw Productions, Bad Robot Productions, and Warner Bros. The list of executive producers for Lovecraft Country includes Jordan Peele, Misha Green, J. J. Abrams, and Ben Stephenson.
“Lovecraft Country” is set in the 1950’s and follows friends that go on a road trip through Jim Crow America in search of a missing relative. According to the show’s description, the group embark on a journey and become entangled in a struggle to survive. They overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

This project is a period piece set in the year 1954. It focuses on the social issues during that time in history.
Every person MUST attend a wardrobe fitting. No exceptions. The scenes are set in the summer, and therefore because of the clothing will reveal more skin, no visible tattoos.
Hair is an important factor for this period show- NATURAL HAIR/ UNDYED is this production’s preference. No locks, dreads, extensions, lace fronts and unnatural color.
No color and no fades for the men. For the most part, hair that is on the short side or Pompadour which was a classic style at the time. Depending on your hairstyle, you may be asked to cut your hair.
No modern-day piercing such as nose rings and stretched piercings in the ears.
