Live Simulation Casting Breakdowns & Information
Casting call for a law enforcement training simulation for ANDE: Rapid DNA for a Safer World: https://www.ande.com/.
This training will take place in Longmont, CO the week of November 4-8, 2019 during standard business hours (8a-5p). Some limited preliminary work required in October. **

Please note: All candidates must be willing to contribute their actual DNA sample which will be entered into a database to be used during the live simulation training. Samples and database records will be destroyed after the training simulation has concluded. The DNA analysis conducted as a part of the training does not include any genetic, medical, or genealogical analysis. Actors must sign a project contract, a non disclosure agreement, and W-9. Actors will be asked to provide their own contemporary wardrobe. $100 per diem stipend plus craft services will be provided.
Actor’s roles are highly improvisational, and the training simulation storyline is built on the Jack the Ripper Whitechapel murders. Actors who are cast will be asked to memorize and deliver certain specific pieces of character information and improvise the rest in simulated police interviews. The breakdowns provided list specific requirements for a few characters (driving, smoking). All genders and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. We are seeking strong improvisational actors who can fully commit to a character profile. Not all roles will be required all days.

Breakdowns: seeking 8 improv actors:
1. Dispatcher, Absaroka County Sheriff’s Office
Gender: Any
Age: Not specified
Qualifications:
Answer and respond verbally to a dedicated cell phone
Model behavior associated with public service professionals
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Dispatcher must respond to telephone inquiries from Task Force members seeking information regarding NLETS, NCIS and Colorado state databases within the play of the ICS
Character Background:
Dispatcher has graduated a Colorado basic police academy and has been sworn as an officer of the Absaroka County Sheriff’s Office
2. David Alan Heron
Gender: Male
Appearance: Biker, rough around the edges
Age: 45-55
Qualifications: Must have motorcycle license, be willing to drive provided motorcycle. Must be willing to smoke cigarettes.
Character Background:
David “Butch” Alan Heron is a white male born December 22, 1969 in Wichita, Kansas. His father was a Marine Corps gunnery sergeant and he never knew his mother.
He is a convicted felon (armed robbery and sexual assault) who has served two sentences in the Colorado prison system (1992 – 1999, 2001 – 2016).
He is currently a primary suspect in the violent Longmont, Colorado murders of Martha Tabram and Annie Chapman. He is a co-conspirator in the 2007 murder of Catherine Eddows.
Heron is a patched associate of the Mongols motorcycle club (Denver Chapter) and is known to engage in ongoing criminal activities including methamphetamine manufacture and distribution as well as prostitution and white slavery.
Heron is a socially dysfunctional and potentially violent introvert who has few associates outside the Mongols gang. He has no romantic relationships, lives alone and has no immediate family except for a brother named James Leek Heron.
3. William Charles Devlin
Gender: Male
Appearance: Biker, rough around the edges
Age: 45-55
Qualifications: Must have motorcycle license, be willing to drive provided motorcycle. Must be willing to smoke cigarettes.
Character Background:
William “Billy” Charles Devlin is a white male born July 17, 1964 in Republic, Missouri to an Assemblies of God minister and a stay-at-home mother. He began his criminal career in high school with drug use, burglaries and property crimes.
He is a convicted felon (home invasion and sexual assault) who has served four sentences in the Colorado prison system (1989-1991, 1993-1996, 1998-2002, 2004-2016). He is currently a primary suspect in the violent Longmont, Colorado murders of Martha Tabram and Annie Chapman.
Devlin is a patched associate of the Mongols motorcycle club (Denver Chapter) and is known to engage in ongoing criminal activities including methamphetamine manufacture and distribution as well as prostitution and white slavery.
Devlin is a socially dysfunctional and potentially violent introvert who has few associates outside the Mongols gang. He has no romantic relationships, lives alone and has no immediate family.
4. Vernon White
Gender: Male
Race: African American
Age: 45 – 55
Requirements: Must be willing to smoke cigarettes and have valid driver’s license, be willing to drive an RV.
Character Background:
Vernon “Stick” White is a black male born January 12, 1972 in Queens, New York to a construction worker father and a waitress mother. He dropped out of high school but has a higher than average IQ and knows it.
White is a convicted felon (burglary, drug possession and distribution and felonious assault) who has served three sentences in the New Jersey prison system (1993-1997, 1998-2006, 2009-2015).
He is currently a primary suspect in the violent Longmont, Colorado murders of Martha Tabram and Annie Chapman. He is also a primary suspect in a string of Absaroka County home burglaries and the theft of a car owned by Charles Duke.
White is a patched associate of the Mongols motorcycle club (Denver Chapter) and is known to engage in ongoing criminal activities including burglaries and methamphetamine distribution as well as prostitution and white slavery.
White is a bright but socially dysfunctional and potentially violent introvert who has few associates outside the Mongols gang. He has a girlfriend named Andriana Cruz and lives with her in a Winnebago recreational vehicle.
5. Andriana Maria Cruz
Gender: Female
Race: Hispanic/Latina
Age: 30 – 45
Requirements: Must be willing to smoke cigarettes and have valid driver’s license, be willing to drive an RV.
Character Background:
Andriana “Andy” Cruz is a Hispanic female born June 6, 1983 in Boise, Idaho to school teacher parents. She fell into drug use during high school and is a convicted felon (burglary, drug possession and prostitution) who has served three sentences in the Florida prison system (2003-2005, 2007-2010, 2015-2017).
She is currently a primary suspect in the violent Longmont, Colorado murders of Martha Tabram and Annie Chapman. She is also a primary suspect in a string of Absaroka County home burglaries and the theft of a car owned by Charles Duke.
Cruz is the “property” of patched Mongols motorcycle club associate (Denver Chapter) Vernon White. She is known to engage in ongoing criminal activities including burglaries, methamphetamine distribution and prostitution.
Cruz is a socially dysfunctional and potentially violent woman who has few associates outside the Mongols gang. She lives with Vernon White in a Winnebago recreational vehicle.
6. Jonas Frank or Maura Nancy Tabram
Gender: Male or Female
Age: 45 – 60
Character Background:
A bereaved parent of missing person Martha Lynne Tabram. He or she voluntarily provides investigators with a buccal swab DNA sample and it is determined that their daughter is one of the homicide victims killed at 1421 Whitechapel High Street.
The Tabrams have teaching backgrounds in Boulder, Colorado. Both are a college educated (University of Colorado), gregarious and cooperative.
7. Pham Van Duc
Gender: Any
Race: Asian
Age: 45-55
Character Background:
Pham Van Duc (or Li Phi Lam) is the co-owner of 1421 Whitechapel High Street. S/he voluntarily provides investigators with a buccal sway DNA sample and it is determined through interview that he has no culpability in the murders of Martha Tabram and Annie Chapman.
Owns a computer software company based in Boulder, Colorado and is the now divorced spouse of Le Thi Lam. S/He provides samples of touch DNA from his/her former wife and helps investigators eliminate her as a suspect in the murders.
8. Charles Everton Duke
Gender: Any
Age: 45 – 55
Character Background:
Charles “Charlie” (or Charlene) Duke is the registered owner of a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 pick-up, Colorado registration BSH-898 which was reported stolen and recovered by investigators at 1421 Whitechapel High Street. He voluntarily provides investigators with a buccal swab DNA sample and it is determined through interview that he has no culpability in the murders of Martha Tabram and Annie Chapman.
Duke owns two Subway franchises in Boulder, Colorado. He is divorced and lives alone.
