Casting for Documentary Called “Swipe Left: The Age of Disposable Relationships” Filming in NY May 1-8
Location: New York
Type: Educational
Are you an active user on Tinder or other dating apps/sites? Are you willing to tell us your story?
We are looking for subjects to film for “Swipe Left: The Age of Disposable Relationships”. We will be filming in NY this next week and would love to interview you and hear what you have to say about the challenges and benefits of dating in a technological dating world.
This documentary focuses on how technology has changed traditional courtship and dating practices for the better or worse. Some of the trends we have noticed are:
1. Access to an abundance of potential partners has caused a lack of commitment for many adults. I.e. analysis paralysis.
2. The perceived illusion of a perfect partner or relationship brought about by the digestion of social media content. A low threshold of baggage or flaws; it is easier to dispose of a partner rather than work through issues.
3. Instant gratification is prioritized. Many adults seek pleasure with the smallest investment needed. First dates have become casual in nature (meeting up for drinks; “Netflix and chill”); formal dating is considered old fashioned.
Have you experienced any of these trends? Would love to hear about it.
Payment: Non Paid
City or Location of call: New York
