Film Synopsis:
The film is dedicated to the LGBTQ community. It shows the struggles young children have when they come out to their parents. Most of the time it ends up brutal, the children are left out on the streets.
Jalena and Laura are two high school girls that have been friends since they were ten years old. Jalena always felt a love and attraction for Laura. There was a point where Laura felt the same way. The story shows how strong their bond is with each other. They also can’t change the way they feel nor do they want to. They have to sneak around a lot.
Roles:
Laura: 18-24, female – Laura is Jalena’s girlfriend. They have a pretty private relationship. Laura is a very smart and pretty girl. She is in all A.P. classes. She grew up in the Catholic Church. Laura and Jalena have been best friends since they were ten. She is someone who doesn’t tend to break rules. However she tends to do so when it comes to Jalena.
Ted: White, Male Late 30s to 50s – Ted is Jalena’s father. He grew up in an extremely Catholic Church and carried it out in his life. He is extremely mentally abusive to his daughter. He lost his wife due to a car accident. He hasn’t met anyone since. He believes, in his heart, that he belongs to the church and that his daughter truly is going to hell.
