We’re Looking for :

male actor (50-75 y/o)
two female actors (20-30 y/o)

For upcoming roles in a short film. There will be a stipend, you will get credits in the film and you will get exposure through film festivals and other promotional events. The story falls into the psychological thriller/horror genre and we’re looking for actors who can deliver strong performances. We will also provide you with a digital copy.

The Thrift Shop, Non-Union Independent Short Film (8-10 minutes)

Auditions:
Auditions: Tuesday April 23rd and Wednesday April 24th

Shooting Starts: 4-28-19

Synopsis:
This short film is a dark and sinister story of obsession and possession. How far are people willing to go to acquire their heart’s desire. Sinister and maccabe in scope this film will span a few hours in the life of a girl who gets more than she bargains for when she is lured into the wrong thrift shop and may end up being a permanent addition.

Roles:
Rachel – 20-30 years old; playing college aged student who’s curious and outgoing.
Savannah – 20-30 years old; playing college aged student who’s apprehensive and weary.
Sam – 50-75 years old; Store owner #1; preferably short somewhat robust and possibly balding; Sinister role who needs to be able to exude creepiness with dialogue and with facial expressions. Age is strict but appearance can be flexible.
Bill – 50-75 years old; Store owner #1; preferably tall, lean, bushy beard and scruffy appearance; Age is strict but appearance can be flexible. No lines but gruff and angry looking.
