FEAR MANOR QUEENS ONLY HAUNTED HOUSE is seeking scare-actors to be a part of a frightful haunted house attraction in Queens this Halloween season. Actors will help bring the terrifying nightmares inside to life, entertain outside crowds, or take part in one of the many other positions available. Our experience with haunted houses runs deep, in that we have over 20 years experience building haunted houses. Fear Manor is our true passion- now we need the right people to be a part of our Fear Crew.” Open roles include actors, makeup artists, and Chaperones. Applicants must be willing to participate interchangeable in these roles.
Must have a good attitude, love Halloween, and love giving people a good scare; Must be 18+ or have working papers; must be reliable – if you commit to acting on a certain date, you must show up or provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend; consistent attendance is a job requirement; must have reliable transportation. Flexibility and willingness to follow whatever direction you are given are musts; must be drug and alcohol-free.
Note: Talent must be comfortable working in confined spaces and dark or low-lit areas, working around strobe effects and fog machines, working in loud environments that include but are not limited to: sound effects and music which are themed to the attraction or haunted house. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods; walk for prolonged periods; talk; hear audible alarms, voice commands with background noise; use close and distance vision; maintain alertness and attentiveness while working varying hours; maintain concentration/focus; work in small or tight spaces.
Must be willing to sign a code of conduct and ethics, provide emergency contact information, and sign a liability release waiver prior to participation as a Scare-Actor. Must have reliable transportation to and from the haunted house location. Background Checks will be performed.
