Hey! You there! Do you like a good horror story? Can you tell a campfire tale? Do you like taking candy from strangers? Have you ever hissed at Christmas displays creeping into your Halloween aisle? Then maybe Ghosts and Gravestones Boston is the place for you! We’re Boston’s premiere night time fright-seeing tour, and we’re looking for a few good ghouls to join us for our 2019 season. Auditions are by appointment.
WHO WE ARE: We run ghost tours. Ghosts and Gravestones is a night time tour through the darker side of Boston’s history, half on board our “trolley of the doomed” and half on foot through two of Boston’s oldest graveyards. We tell stories about murders, curses, ghosts, and all things spooky and macabre.
WHAT YOU’D DO: As one of our Ghost Hosts, you’d be leading tours through the city. You get to create your own original character, design your own tour, and hang out in graveyards at night. Our management team will work closely with you during the training process, to help you create the best tour you can. We’re currently looking for full-time guides, so you’d also be working our ticket booth twice a week (Still in character!). A typical week for us includes two day/nights selling tickets, two nights of giving tours and one night working a non-tip shift (Helping at our booth or working in the graveyards). At 30 to 40+ hours a week minimum for an hourly wage, sales commissions, benefits, tips and working in the horror business . Best. Job. Ever.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: This may be an actual full-time job as opposed to a standard gig, but we still operate like a theatrical production. Bring a headshot and resume, and have two contrasting monologues prepared, no longer than two minutes total. If you want, one of your monologues can be a ghost story. Heads up, employment at this job is conditional on passing a standard drug test.
