Seeking
Six non-AEA actors – 4F, 2M. Stipend provided for March performances with additional salary for tour.
Breakdown
Historical play set in 1886.
Anna – A white woman, mid 30s. Proper mother/wife, content with role she plays in her family & society.
Isabelle- A spunky 10 year old with big dreams and a growing sense of the inequalities around her.r. Played by an adult actor.
Rose – A white woman, late 20s. Anna’s younger sister. A suffragist, strong and independent. Something of a black sheep in the family.
William – Early teens. Isabelle’s older brother. A strong sense of entitlement. This actor also doubles with a few other small roles. Played by an adult actor.
Jackie – A 20-year-old black woman: smart, strong-minded, caring. This actor also doubles as a middle-aged woman (Blake) and other small roles.
James – A white man in his 40s: a self-satisfied and indulgent father. This actor also doubles with a few other older white male characters.
Other
Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
