Disney Open Auditions:
Open Call for The Disneyland Resort in the OC and their live shows.
Disney puts on quite a few theatrical productions all year long and are looking for local talent to fill roles in their live stage shows and in-park productions.
Disney will be hosting open auditions in the City of Downey, California which is in the Los Angeles area. The event will be held at OnStage Dance Center in Downey and is looking for Singers and Actors to join any of a variety of Disney shows and live events that take place within their parks.
Casting directors are looking for talent for their show FROZEN – LIVE AT THE HYPERION as well as other shows that are produced at the Disney Parks.
Open call will be held on Wednesday, February 06, 2019 at 10:00 AM. That is just a couple days away and those wanting to come in and audition for a Disney show can stop by as a walk-in. The shows are looking to book a variety of talent which include singers and actors of all ethnicities that are at least 18 years of age.
No appointments are available and Walk-ins will be seen on a first come first serve basis. We will stop accepting walk-ins starting at 1:00pm.

Disney Parks Live Entertainment will hold an open call for singers for current shows as well as NEW and EXCITING entertainment offerings at the Disneyland Resort. All roles are covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists.
SPECIFICALLY SEEKING actors 18+ from a diverse spectrum of ethnic & cultural backgrounds, types, ability levels, genders, and personalities to portray the roles listed below.

PLEASE NOTE- All appointments for both open call days are FULL. Walk-ins are more than welcome and will be seen on a first come first serve basis. We will stop accepting walk-ins starting at 1:00pm.
PREPARATION: Please prepare a one-minute cut of a song in the style of the show/character, with sheet music in the appropriate key. Have a contrasting selection prepared in case it is requested. Bring your book. Accompanist will be provided.

STORYTELLERS – Powerful gospel singers with excellent musicality and storytelling skills to portray characters of West African heritage. Must be confident movers.
FROZEN – LIVE AT THE HYPERION:
Disneyland Resort’s Broadway-caliber, theatrical production based on the feature film “Frozen.” Directed by Broadway, world-renowned and award-winning director Liesl Tommy. This show will be performed in the state-of-the-art, indoor, 2000-seat Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure® Park.
SEEKING:
ELSA – Looking for actors of any ethnicity 5’2” and above; to play a 21-year–old Princess who becomes Queen; fearfully plagued by powers she hasn’t yet learned to control; lives a life of isolation separated from society and those she loves, including her sister. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano; mix/belt
ANNA – Looking for actors of any ethnicity 5’2” and above; to play an 18-year-old Princess who is Elsa’s younger sister; persistent, daring and highly optimistic; at times reacts impulsively; longs to reconnect with her sister Elsa; readily believes she’s found her one true love in Hans. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Soprano; mix/belt
YOUNG ANNA – Looking for adult actors of any ethnicity 5’2” and smaller; to play Anna as a child ages 7 and 9, as seen in the beginning of the feature film. Giddy, lively and adorable. Must be a strong mover. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Soprano 1
HANS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity 5’11” and above; to play a 23-year-old male handsome prince from a neighboring kingdom; debonair, charming, possible dark undertones. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor
KRISTOFF – Looking for actors of any ethnicity 6’0” and above; to play a 21-year-old male ice harvester; rugged blue-collar type; a little rough around the edges, yet endearingly awkward; not your typical Disney hero; protector and loyal. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Baritone
OLAF – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play a snowman created by Elsa’s magic; kind-hearted with a childlike innocence and honesty that makes him say the painfully obvious with positive gusto; 100% honest, 100% sincere. Strong dancer a plus. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Tenor; must have a high “A” full voice.
BULDA/QUEEN CHORUS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play a female motherly and sassy troll and the Mother of Anna and Elsa. A confident mover. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Alto; belt.
GRAND PABBIE/CHORUS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play a wise and all-knowing male troll and the kingdom’s bishop who officiates Elsa’s Coronation, solemn and formal. Warm and gracious. A confident mover. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Baritone/Bass.
GERDA/CHORUS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play a female loyal castle servant; warm but formal; one of the few people Anna has contact with once the castle is locked up. A confident mover. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano/Alto
KING/CHORUS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play the father of Anna and Elsa. Serious with gravitas. A confident mover. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Baritone
DUKE OF WESELTON/CHORUS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play an arrogant and meddlesome statesman; as Arendelle’s closest trade partner, he hopes to exploit the kingdom for its riches. Hilarious and vain. Great comic timing. A strong dancer a plus. All Ethnicities. Vocal Range: Tenor
FEMALE CHORUS – Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play a variety of female roles including: Servants, Townspeople and Trolls. All types, all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Vocal Range: All vocal ranges: Soprano 1 (legit; but should be able to sing pop style), Mezzo Soprano, Soprano, Alto.
MALE CHORUS -?Looking for actors of any ethnicity; to play a variety of male roles including Sven (Kristoff’s reindeer), Kai (castle servant), Thugs, Guards, Servants, Townspeople and Trolls. All types, all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Vocal Range Bass, Baritone and Tenor
MICKEY AND THE MAGICAL MAP brings together live performers, popular Disney Characters and theatrical wizardry to take the audience on a surprising journey through fantastic worlds of music, color and imagination. This theatrical production is performed at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park.
SEEKING:
POCAHONTAS – Native American teenage daughter of a tribal chief in 17th-Century Virginia. Strong musical theater belt with easy transition to a mix. Character is modeled from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required.
RAPUNZEL – An energetic, adventurous, inquisitive Caucasian teenager with 70 feet of magical golden hair. Has been locked in a tower her entire life and longs to see the outside world. Strong musical theater mix. Character is modeled from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required.
MULAN – A legendary Chinese woman warrior. Quick-witted and independent, MULAN will bravely face any challenge. Though she isn’t like the other girls in her village, she is true to herself and follows her heart. Strong musical theater mix/soprano. Character is modeled from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required.
TIANA – A bright and resourceful 19-year-old African-American woman who dreams of opening her own restaurant in her home town of New Orleans. As fate should have it, an adventure involving a frog, a firefly and an alligator reveal to her that balancing work with love is necessary if she truly wants to be happy. Strong musical theater, jazz and gospel style belt with transition to a mix. Character is modeled from the film. Gospel style singing and ability to ad lib is required.
FLYNN RIDER – Once a wanted thief, Flynn Rider is charming, witty, and brave. He takes risks to get what he wants, but is happiest when he can make Rapunzel’s dreams come true. Strong contemporary pop/musical theater voice. Character is modeled from the film. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required.
SEBASTIAN – A calypso-singing, Caribbean crab. He is a musical genius who conducts musical performances for TRITON’s court. He can also create marvelous impromptu reggae numbers in the flick of a claw. Strong contemporary pop/musical theatre voice with calypso style. Additionally, gospel style part singing is required. Must have good upper body strength.
FANTASY FAIRE’S SMYTHE & JONES: Comedic male actor (age 20’s-40’s) with singing experience for a Storytelling experience in Fantasy Faire at Disneyland® Park. This performer will play multiple roles as they present classic Disney tales in a fast-paced and fun-filled show! Crisp comedic timing is a must. Actors need to move well and be able to perform in a vaudeville style.

RED CAR NEWS BOYS: Well-rounded?Singer/Dancer/Actors?to play teens, for?The Red Car Trolley News Boys. This high-energy group of 1920s/30s-era paperboys take to the streets of Disney California Adventure Park as they sing and dance to authentic period tunes. All must sing & dance but some roles will emphasize strong singing skills while other roles will emphasize strong dancing skills.

DAPPER DANS: Seeking Strong Male Vocalists OF ALL ETHNICITIES (Tenor to high B flat, Lead, Baritone, and Bass to low E flat or lower) to portray members of a turn-of-the-century barbershop quartet at the Disneyland® Resort. Performers must have good comic timing & movement skills and display a warm personality. Tapping skills a plus. All types & ethnicities.

DIME – Female vocalist of African heritage, knowledge of ’30s swing and scat singing, reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, must sing “G” below middle C to “D” a 9th above middle C, lots of personality and star quality. Good mover.
DISNEY JUNIOR DANCE PARTY: Seeking youthful, energetic, hip and trendy male and female singers, who are approachable, kid-friendly,?comfortable engaging with a live audience?and have good improvisational skills especially when interacting with children.? Strong movers with a familiarity of current pop dance styles a plus!
