Storiar Entertainment (www.storiar.com) is excited to announce the premiere table read-through of its first full-length stage musical!
TITLE: Starstruck – A 1940’s time period comedy musical
SYNOPSIS: On the verge of poverty and solitude, a young orphan girl discovers her father’s existence and ventures forth to find and reunite with him. But when her presence begins undermining his glamorous film career and ambitious dreams, she must work together with a misjudged fugitive to win her father’s heart back before she loses him forever.
ACTORS: Those interested in reading for a character at the table-read should prepare a video-recorded audition of two contrasting 1-minute monologues. Youtube links are preferred. For those selected to participate, the read-through for Starstruck the Musical will be held NOVEMBER 16, 10am-1pm ON BYU CAMPUS (DETAILS TBD).
SINGERS: Those interested in recording a vocal track to be used at the table-read should prepare a video-recorded audition of two 16-bar jazz/pop style songs (Michael Buble style encouraged but not required). Youtube links are preferred. PLEASE EMAIL AUDITION VIDEO LINK TO STORIARCASTING@GMAIL.COM NO LATER THAN OCT. 26 AT NOON. For those selected to participate, recording sessions will be held in the evenings on BYU campus from NOV. 4-7 (DETAILS TBD). You are not required to attend the table-read if you are only auditioning as a singer.
*NOTE: A small stipend will be given to singers for a one-hour recording session, and we will have free pizza for actors and those participating at the table-read.
