Two Films for Senior Thesis at Carthage College
Location:
Both shoots will be in Kenosha, WI. (Travel not provided)
Dates:
Dates are TBD, but both films will be likely shot in one day each between late February and early April.
Compensation:
$100 (flat rate) per role. (This is a student film and is paid out of pocket)
Credits
Time required:
Expected shoot time is one day. Expect to be available for 12 hours maximum on the shoot day, but if we finish faster than 12 hours the pay is still the same: $100.
Non-Union
The males in these films have been cast. Please don’t send applications for them.
Just Stay:
A singer and a songwriter’s relationship is tested when an opportunity arises that reveals where their hearts truly lie.
Casting:
Sophia:
– 18-25 years old.
– All ethnicities.
– Slim body.
– Attractive.
– A songwriter who writes songs for her boyfriend Michael to sing.
– A romantic type.
– Wants to win Michael’s restrained love with the songs she writes for him to sing, but truly needs to come to love herself – symbolized by writing songs for herself to sing.
– Will be singing in the film.
– Has to be able to sing and play, or learn quickly, ukulele and guitar (very simple chord progressions).
Important – has a small kissing scene with Michael where they lie in bed cuddling (not a sex scene).

– Include headshot (or appropriate photo if a headshot isn’t available)
– Include acting reel or some type of acting sample
– Include singing sample
– Include playing ukulele and guitar sample (if one is available)
Including all of these components in the submission will greatly increase chances of being cast.
Dance, David:
A born-to-be dancer has never danced a day in his life because he lacks courage, but one day he meets his crush, a dancer who sees inside him.
Casting:
Isabella:
– 18-25 years old.
– All ethnicities.
– Slim body.
– Attractive.
– A dancer who sees the person she used to be in a guy that shows up at her dance practice one day.
– A very confident individual.
– Will be the one to bring the truth into the guy’s life that he needs.
– Will be dancing in the film.
– Has to be relatively good at dancing, or at least a very confident dancer, or willing to learn quickly.
Important – has some intimate moments with the guy (no kissing, but intimate dancing moments)
