Christopher (Mixed ethnicity / male – age 8-12) – The “tiny tim” of our story. He is tender-hearted and curious of the world around him. Very understanding of his mother’s financial situation since his dad recently passed. Although he knows Christmas won’t be very eventful this year, he secretly wants what all the other kids have. His dream is to someday be a drummer like his dad was.

Brad the Bully (Any ethnicity / male – Age 10-12) – Typical bully with a soft side. Singing ability preferred, but not required. Brad seems to have everything in the world, but knows deep down that what he really wants for Christmas is family and love.

Ella (Any ethnicity / female – Age 8-10) – A foster child full of hope, joy, and Christmas Spirit. Even though she wants nothing more than a family to call her own, she has everything she could ever need in the small home she lives in with her foster family. singing ability is required. Any talent that fits the descriptions above are to self tape an audition of themselves singing the requested song and reciting The following monologue per character:

{Santa / Ella}
Santa: How does it feel to save Christmas!

Ella: Great! But why aren’t we staying. Isn’t the North Pole the last stop?

Santa: The North Pole is awesome. But if you want to get to Christmas, we have one more stop to make.

Ella: Whoville?

Santa: Even better. It’s the place where Christmas wonder began. You might have heard the story. On a silent night. I the little town of Bethlehem. The herald angels sung the first noel. Rejoice, rejoice Emanuel…

Ella: Those are songs about Jesus.

Santa. That’s right. And if you’re ready, would you like to see that perfect gift I was telling you about?

Ella: (looks out the window smiling) That sounds wonderful.

Santa: Next Stop: Christmas!}

{Christopher-
Come here, boy! Sit down on the blanket. Good boy. Are you comfy there? Did you know that you’re 12 years old now? That’s…. 84 in dog years. That’s older than Gran!

Anyway, I have to tell you something. Dad told me not to say, but I’m pretty sure you won’t tell on me. We’re going to get in the car soon, and drive to the Vet. I know, I don’t like that place either, but they give you a treat at the end and I get to pick a lollipop from the jar, so I guess it’s not that bad.

Well, thing is, you won’t be coming home with us this time. You have to stay at the Vet and they’re going to take care of you. You don’t need to be scared, I’m pretty sure I’ve met all the vets and nurses and they’re all really nice.

I promise it’s going to be okay. You just lie down, close your eyes and it will be like when we’ve had a big playdate. Then, we’ll go to bed early because we’re so tired and can’t keep our eyes open any longer. You trust me, don’t you? I promise it’s going to be okay.

Oh, one more thing, Rufus – you’re the bestest friend I’ve ever had.}

{Brad the Bully-

Megan: You’re not at all worried that something might happen to Kevin?Brad: No, for three reasons: A, I’m not that lucky. Two, we use smoke detectors and D, we live on the most boring street in the whole United States of America, where nothing even remotely dangerous will ever happen. Period.}
