Its 1988 and Finbar and Billy have finished their exams. For them, football is a lifestyle, a fashion and a distraction from the shit adult world around them. Until they discover the rave scene.
The lifestyle begins to consume Billy and Finbar. Billy begins living for the weekend and selfish decisions cause the boys to drift apart, ultimately leading to a heart-breaking end where this community he finds, isolates him more than he ever has been.
This will be released as a proof of concept for a further funding. We plan to enter in film festivals and will be used as our Degree final piece.
Kaya Mitchell (Director) has over 3 years experience in writing and directing for the screen. Expected crew of up to 15+.
These roles are imperative to the film. There is much backstory to the characters and we expect the relationship to reflect that. Other requirements will be smoking, stunt work and driving licence.
William/Billy
Protagonist, playing age of 16/17 years old, loves music and playing/watching football. Supports Leeds United, Fun-loving, Instant gratification, Football enthusiast, Best friends with Finbar, Good with girls, Develops a love for music and rave, Steals money from his mum, Conflict arises when he begins to fall into the rave scene and let down his friends.

Billy’s best friend since childhood. playing age of 16/17 years old. happy go lucky, very likeable, Mixed Ethnicity, loyal to a fault, chivalrous, financially stable from working in his dad’s corner shop, follows Billy’s every step, kind, naïve, football nerd, takes care of his little sister, takes Billy’s fun to another level and gets into drugs.

Auditions will be held as soon as possible in regard to COVID-19.
Rehearsals will be in early January.
Shooting will begin February 1st.
Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity – This will be used as a proof of concept for a potential feature film. Based of true events. Funded through crowd funding and personal budgets.
Expenses paid – We will be providing food according to COVID-19 precautions. The budget will be pre-dominantly focused on Production Design. We will reimburse travel costs as much as feasible.
