Synopsis:
It’s the beginning of senior year and Antoinette, Muriel, and Gladys want nothing more than to rid themselves of their old, reclusive ways. Going to the first party of the school year seems like a surefire way to do just that- until a series of unfortunate events becomes the only thing on the itinerary for the night. Will they make it to the party, or will they crumble under the pressure?
Roles:
ALL CHARACTERS – Black & female/femme & ages 17 – 19
ANTOINETTE – a determined young lady, she never lets her clumsiness get in the way of a good time, even if she’s never on time
MURIEL – living in the realm of cupcakes and cartoons, she, an enigma of childishness and maturity, always has something up her sleeve and love in her heart
GLADYS – named after the world-known superstar, she is everything that is glamorous, and like the perfectionist she is, she never arrives anywhere without being picture ready
Audition
You’ll need to record a one-minute comedic monologue for review, send a recent headshot, and be based in Memphis, TN.
