Singers, Dancers, Musicians and Personalities for Valleyfair!

Spend your summer on stage! Strengthen and perfect your craft while performing for the more than 1 million people who visit the park each year. Receive valuable experience and exposure while earning a competitive salary. Full summer employment (Memorial Day-Labor Day) and limited engagement performance opportunities available! All positions are paid a daily or hourly rate.
Casting for the following events and dates:
Summer Line Up – Performances May 23rd – September 7th
PEANUTS© Celebration – Performances June 13th– July 12th
Grand Carnivale – Performances July 25th – August 16th
Seeking:
Dancers – dancers /movers who are comfortable performing multiple shows outdoors.
Actor/Singers – Actors who sing. Previous experience working with children is preferable but not required.
Instrumentalists- piano/keyboard, guitar, percussionists, etc.
Drummers – Drummers and percussionists for an in-house drumline, and/or small combo.
Costume Characters – Must be 4’6” – 5’3”. Hiring for Meet and Greet Characters and Character/Dancers. Actors 14 years of age and older encouraged to apply. Experience working with children is appreciated but not required. Must be comfortable and able to perform in a full body costume.
Costume Characters must be at least 14 years of age by their first day of employment. All other performers must be at least 16 years of age by their first day of employment. Please note – all our venues are outdoors and ability to performing in the summer heat is a requirement.
Audition Dates:
All auditions will take place at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre in Chanhassen, MN. Please use the link below to sign up for a 1-hour time slot on February 29th, March 1st or March 15th. Dancers and those who are called back for dancing will need to attend one of the dance calls. Dance calls are at 3pm on February 29th, March 1st and March 15th at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre.
What to Prepare:
Please bring a headshot and resume with you to your audition.
Dancers- please sign up for one of the 3 dance calls using the link below.
Actor/Singers – Please prepare a 1-minute song of your choice and a 1-minute family friendly monologue. Please bring your own accompaniment track – a speaker will be provided for you to connect via aux cord or Bluetooth. No accompanist will be provided. No CD’s, please.
Instrumentalists- Please prepare 2 pieces in contrasting styles (or if multiple instruments, 1 piece on each). A speaker will be provided for you to connect via aux cord or Bluetooth if you would like to play with a track. No CD’s, please.
Drummers- Please prepare 2 pieces in contrasting styles. (If you play multiple percussion instruments, this is a plus.) A speaker will be provided for you to connect via aux cord or Bluetooth if you would like to play with a track. No CD’s, please.
