Synopsis: a 7min. psychological thriller, about a girl and her family’s struggles after a loss. As everyone turns to devices of ways to get by, the emotional event triggers psychotic episodes in the girl, so she tries to handle work, family, and illusions..
Roles:
Laila(Lead): (16-18, Black) a young hard working girl, struggling to find a way to cope, emotionally triggering a mental condition.
Mara(Lead): (late 30’s & up, Black) a grieving mother of 2, short tempered, struggling with an alcohol addiction.
Jalen(Lead): (17-22, Black) the older brother, tends to be a player with the ladies, uses lust as a release.
Fatima(Supporting): (16-18, Black) kind, compassionate, and a little bit religious, helping her friend through her grief.
Daniel(Supporting): (late 30’s & up) a close friend of Mara who tries to take on the tough parts of Mara’s loss.
Jay: (late 30’s & up, Black) father of 2, remembered for his affectionate ways and kindness despite his road to death.
