Project Synopsis
Journey of searching for information while growing up in India, from the 1940s – 1970s. Images to be licensed for branded short film for technology brand.
People with photos of India + Indian Families from the 1940s – 1970s
Looking specifically for images featuring the following:
Making a journey from one place to the next, by foot or by bike, accessing a library’s card catalogue, reading encyclopedias when they were available, etc.
Old classrooms, libraries, villages, people in villages, and the journey to obtaining information in India during these time periods (40s-70s).
HOW TO SUBMIT

Submissions are Rolling / See Deadlines after submission instructions.
Collect as many photos as possible spanning 1940s – 1970s. We are looking for 15 to 20 photos to be used in total, so please send as many as possible.
If images are not digitized, but you have an archive of physical photos, please send what you are able to and we can discuss submission of non-digitized images (ex: phone snapshot of photo album pages or individual photos)
Examples but not limited to: All photos must be in India, from 1940s – 1970s. Making a journey from one place to the next, by foot or by bike, accessing a library’s card catalogue, reading encyclopedias when they were available, etc. Old classrooms, libraries, villages, people in villages, and the journey to obtaining information in India during these time periods (1940s – 1970s).
Put Images in One Folder. Send the photos via Google Photos WeTransfer, zip file, or other easy transfer method to: familyphotocasting@ninaday.com
BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Names of person(s) submitting, as well as who is featured in the photographs.
LOCATION / Country and / or City and State of where you are located.
Phone numbers and Email addresses for contact.
Deadlines are as follows (Early Deadlines preferred and receive priority–but we will accept through the following dates – all deadlines are Eastern Standard Time).
DEADLINE 1: 9AM EST Thursday 2/27
DEADLINE 2: 5PM EST Monday 3/2
DEADLINE 3: 9AM EST Wednesday 3/4
LATE SUBMISSIONS: 9AM EST Friday 3/6

HOW ARE MY IMAGES / VIDEOS USED?
TERMS OF LICENSE AND PAYMENT
Image License Fee: $1000 per photo, looking for 15- 20 photos for final spot.
Rate only paid if image( s) used in the final creative.
Term: In perpetuity
Territory: WW
Media: All media
Exclusivity: Solely with respect to brand competitors for 6 months following the first public exhibition. ( Brand to be shared upon final confirmation)
Image License Fee ( compensation) : $1, 000 min ( $1k per image used) , looking for 15 – 20 images in total. Rate only paid if image( s) used in the final creative.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY SUBMISSION IMAGES?
They are kept on file for internal review for this project by both Nina Day Casting and the Brand. If not selected, they will be discarded securely. Images are not used for any purpose except for casting review. If Selected for Usage, they will be compensated.
WHAT IF THE IMAGE WAS TAKEN BY A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER?
You may initially submit for project consideration, but you will need to contact your photographer for permission to move forward. If they request compensation, that would need to be included within the final compensation rate ( see image license fee above) . We fully respect all artists rights and encourage only submitting images that don’ t risk infringing upon anyone’ s copyright. We can discuss treatments if we move forward with you so all photographers understand the context and are comfortable releasing images.
