“Composer, Lyricist, and Book Writers Greggory Nekrasovas and Massimiliano Cicio are holding an open casting call for their new musical, “La Nela De Socartes”, on Saturday, March 28, 2020.
“La Nela De Socartes” is a musical about love, opportunity, and change. It is also the musical adaptation of Benito Perez Galdos’ 1878 Spanish novel Marianela. All roles are open for audition (non-union; ages 18-50 are preferred), and no theatrical experience is required. The open casting call is also from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, at Rowan University’s College of Performing Arts.
For your audition, prepare the following:
A headshot and/or a resume (it is recommended, but not required)
16-32 bars of a contemporary musical theater song from the year 2000-present. An accompanist will be provided.
A monologue from a contemporary musical theater piece from the year 2000-present
To read sides, if asked, from “La Nela De Socartes”, or sight-read songs from “La Nela De Socartes”.
