Open Casting Call for 2020 Season!

Encore! Theater Group is holding an open casting call for our 2020 Season! Open Casting will be held on Monday, February 24th from 6-9 pm at University City Library Auditorium (6701 Delmar Blvd, University City, MO 63130). We will be casting 2-3 shows, including:
The Haunted Pool, written and directed by Effrem Grettenberger
Fresh off the soft world premiere in St. Louis, Encore! Theatre Group’s original musical is heading to Michigan (travel, lodging, food and amenities included in stipend)! Join Princess Umi’s adventure as she explore’s her father’s one forbidden rule: DON’T GO TO THE HAUNTED POOL and finds her destiny along the way! Performing April 3-5 in Lansing, Michigan, casting 2-3 roles.
Day of Absence, written by Douglas Ward Turner and directed by Benisha Dorris
Winner of the coveted Vernon Rice and Obie Awards, Day of Absence is a reverse minstrel play that recounts the uproarious emergencies that occur when a Southern town is faced with the sudden and inexplicable disappearance of all its black people. Performing May 22, 23, 28 and 29 in St. Louis, casting multiple roles.
If interested in auditioning, please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue and/or a 1 minute song if auditioning for the musical as well. Callbacks will be held immediately after, with sides being provided.
