Plenty of Organs is a satirical commercial on a fictitious phone application that matches people who are looking for organs by connecting them with donors who want to sell theirs for compensation. Inspired by dating apps.
Unpaid. Credit and a copy of the finished product upon completion.
Auditions Remote over Zoom Video Call
Auditions October 14th, 1PM – 5PM (Please note confirmed auditions will be given a specific time.)
Roles:
NARRATOR: 20-30 years old, Caucasian man. Slim build, well kept, and ideally with blond hair and blue eyes. He is intentionally ignorant of the awful things going on around him and is annoyingly confident.
YOUNG WOMAN: 20-30 years old, open to anyone who identifies as BIPOC, Latinx preferred. She is part of the working class and is disheartened with her future. Sells one of her eyes on the app in order to pay for groceries. (Must be open to use of SFX Make-Up for “missing” eye).
YOUNG MAN: 25-35 years old, open to anyone who identifies as BIPOC, Black preferred. He is also part of the working class and can see a glimmer of hope for his future in this app. Sells his kidney on the app and ends up dying from complications.
OLDER GENTLEMAN: 50 years old or older, Caucasian man. Well-kept and has had an easy life so far. Manages to buy the younger man’s kidney through the app and have his health rejuvenated.
