Bad Jews by Joshua Harmon.

Theater at The Space is a new theater project and our initial play is “Bad Jews” by Joshua Harmon, the story of three cousins fighting over the family heirloom- a gold chai medallion smuggled out of the camps by their late grandfather. It’s funny, raw in places, but also asks important questions about history, culture and legacy. There are four roles:
Daphna, 20’s, who feels strongly that the chai belongs to her more than anyone else
Liam, 20’s, the oldest male cousin and the “bad Jew” in the play
Jonah, 20’s, Liam’s brother, caught in the middle, an observer
Melody, 20’s, Liam’s girlfriend, described as being blonde, mousy, a shiksa
Auditions are Feb. 11 and 12 from 7-9 pm at The Space. Performances are April 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18. The play is directed by Gene Kahane
