Pre-Production for Performance

We are seeking a trombone, trumpet player to perform/experiment with 2-4 original songs in a practice setting.
The songs are composed for piano and vocal however we are trying to figure out how to transpose them for trombone/trumpet duet and vocals.
We are visual artists (not musicians) writing and directing a performance to be premiered this winter in Switzerland.
What we are seeking in New York is a horn player to modify the score with, not someone for the actual performance.
This is low commitment, one or two time practice (can be carried out virtually during first two weeks of September) in which we hope to learn IF the songs will carry over to the instruments or HOW they can be altered to work with vocals.
We seek someone with an open and creative personality, interested in experimental music and art. We are specifically interested in a trumpet and trombone duet, so if you are someone who plays both instruments or you have a friend you play with – we would be enthusiastic to speak with both of you!
Ability to read sheet music not required but otherwise must be able to play by ear.
