Girl Pow-R was nominated for the JUNOs (like the Grammy’s) in 2020 for their debut album! It’s history-making, as it makes Girl Pow-R part of the first-ever group of young people to be nominated for a JUNO award in the Children’s Category for Album of the Year.
Girl Pow-R is a multi-ethnicity, inclusive group. The band performed 200+ shows in its first 3 years, and completed their first US Tour in summer 2019 performing in Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York and Boston to audiences of 500 to 1000 fans. During COVID, Girl Pow-R has averaged 1 to 2 online performances every month.
GIRL POW-R IS SEEKING GIRLS AGES 9 TO 17 WHO SING AND DANCE. We have online shows planned every two months throughout 2021 when COVID restrictions are in place, and will resume live shows as soon as it is safe to do so.
Through Girl Pow-R, you can also learn how to write music, create a strong stage presence, play an instrument in a band, support a social cause, practice interviewing skills, develop the “It Factor” and more.
