The show “Out There” is set in a small fictional town in Montana. The main character is a conspiracy theorist. He goes to the police about his findings but the police ignore him. Eventually, he gets into trouble after the police suspect him of murder. The F.B.I. swoops in because they believe he actually has discovered a new species. The F.B.I. wants to turn it into a weapon of mass destruction.
