Casting for Educational Video: Antibiotic Stewardship in the Dental Office

This is for an educational video to train dental students on the latest recommendations for antibiotic use. We will be recording 2 short, scripted provider and patient interactions in a dental clinic in a northern Detroit suburb on one day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon, with some non-speaking action shots in between. The interactions center on a patient who thinks they should take an antibiotic and the provider who needs to explain why recommendations about taking antibiotics have changed.
The Dentist will be needed all day, the other roles will only be needed partial day.
This will shoot on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Shelby Twp.
Seeking talent local to Detroit area only.
Possible audition via zoom for short list candidates.
Recording will be in person in Shelby Twp.
Everyone on set will need to be vaccinated and masked (when not performing).
Compensation: $150 – $250 depending on role.
1. Dentist: – Asian or middle eastern, female, age 45-55: Upbeat and professional, very patient-focused. You know how to put your patient at ease, and you are a natural communicator to let your patient know which would be the best choices they could make based on up-to-date science.
2. Hygienist: Yvonne – African- american, female, age 30-40: You have known your patients for years and want the best for them and you are also dedicated to the science of your profession and want to follow the most up-to-date recommendations.
3. Patient 1: John (oral pain) – Caucasian, male, age 35-45: You are in pain with a swollen tooth. You have had this issue before and you think you know what you need to make it better.
4. Patient 2: Mr. Sanders Age 60+, Non-white, male patient who is in for a routine cleaning. You have a complicated medical history including diabetes (well controlled with oral medication), past history of prostate cancer and a hip replacement 1 and a half years ago.
