CASEY – Mid to late 20s. Character portrayed is female identifying. Level headed. Big hearted. Very comfortable being the voice of reason in any situation. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and tell it like it is. One of Justin’s best friends. *Must be comfortable around dogs*
MATT – Mid to late 20s. Character portrayed is male identifying. Laid back. An observer and a bit of a nerd. Not someone who easily fits into friend groups but will always be there to support the close friends he has. One of Justin’s best friends. *Must be comfortable around dogs*
SARAH – Mid 20s. Character portrayed is female identifying. Girl next door. Easily likable and very friendly. Has dreams of finding her perfect guy, having kids and settling down before she’s 30. Lives in Justin’s apartment building.
MARISSA – Early 30s. Character portrayed is female identifying. Artsy and free spirited. An optimist. Passionate about her ability to use fine art and sculpture as a way to connect people. Teaches a Paint & Sip class the friend group attends.
TIM – Early to late 30s. Character portrayed is male identifying. Outgoing and upbeat. Works at a dog shelter.
SCARLETT – Mid to late 20s. Character portrayed is female identifying. Very flirty and self aware. Described in the script as “the most beautiful girl Justin has ever seen” which comes from her ability to exude confidence more than anything else. Animal lover. Works at a dog shelter. *Must be comfortable around dogs*
PAINT & SIP EXTRAS – Late 20s to 30s. To portray groups of people at an art class. Friend groups and couples welcome.
SYNOPSIS: Justin loves love… so much. His habit of poorly timed excessive grand gestures has proven to be too much for a long line of [ex]girlfriends. After yet another disastrous break up, Justin’s friends attempt to help him find love and connection somewhere – anywhere – else.
