Description: A Commedia Christmas Carol is a comedic adaptation of the classic Dickens holiday story in the style of Commedia dell’Arte— a comedic, masked, devised, improvisational and interactive form. Commedia experience not required, any physical, masked, or improv experience a plus. Actors will likely play multiple roles, including: Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Mrs. Cratchit, Tiny Tim, Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmases Yet to Come, Fred, and more.
Process: Tut’Zanni company members will be directing the ensemble through a process of training and devising. To start, rehearsals will first include training in Tut’Zanni Theatre Company’s style of Commedia dell’Arte performance, and then the ensemble will move into a directed devising process to create the final show.
Dates and Location: Denver, CO. Rehearsals begin in October, and will be scheduled according to cast availability. 4 performances will be December 17, 18 & 19.
