We are seeking Black, Hispanics and Caucasians actors, actresses and poets for the social justice play “LIVE FROM FERGUSON! by award winning playwright, Gregory Carr. It is a stylized play with movement on a minimalistic stage. The play was selected to New York City’s 2021 Broadway Bound Theatre Festival at Theatre Row.
Live from Ferguson! is a choreopoem/poetical that chronicles the aftermath of the shooting of Michael Brown in 2014 and the community members turned grassroots activists who daily faced armed militarized police in their quest for justice. Their stories are told through a series of songs, spoken word, raps, monologues, poetry, dance, and chants.
This is a Non-Equity production.
There will be a three week rehearsal starting Monday, August 23 -September 10, 2021.
Tech Rehearsal & First Performance will be on September 11th at Theatre Row.
Performance dates: 9/11 @ 5pm, 9/15 @ 2pm, 9/16 @ 5pm
